Lulu sees beauty and life in everyday things. She uses the camera as a tool to collect "found" images the way a writer might use a pen and notebook.
"I believe that everything is connected and I try to express this in my work. When I take a picture I am composing an image. But when I put more images together there is an encounter. It starts a conversation, a kind of visual dialog. I am looking for the connections."
With her images she explores spaces, lines, shadows, geometry, density and fragility. A photograph may be multiplied and rearranged until it ceases to be what it was and becomes a new image. Or the composition may be a simple scene shot from four points of view to tell a story or to expose previously unseen beauty.
